Every improvement we ship to CM Studio+, from major features to small fixes. We release often, check back or follow along.
Explore CM Studio+ through interactive tutorials built into your workspace. Follow practical workflows for creating formulas, preparing batches and samples, managing raw materials, and building quotes. Additional walkthroughs cover the AI assistant and team permissions. Your progress is saved, so you can pause and pick up where you left off.
Connect with other formulators to offer surplus raw materials, find ingredients you need, and team up to meet supplier minimum order quantities (MOQs). Create “Have extra,” “Looking for,” or “MOQ buddy” listings, browse by material and location, and coordinate through private messages and participation requests. Keep your listings within the community or make them public for wider sharing.
More accurate pack-size and cost calculations, clearer cost summaries, and a smoother interface make quoting and purchasing easier. Save and revisit purchasing plans, compare options, and use the advanced Excel export to review detailed breakdowns and share them with your team.
Copy ingredients from the Global Library into your organization’s library, then make them your own. Edit ingredient details, add custom pack sizes, and adjust pricing without changing the original global ingredient.
Compare formulas side by side to spot key differences and make clearer, more confident formulation decisions.
Create a new draft from any saved formula version, restoring its historical formula details while keeping the original formula and version history unchanged.
Browse a clearer version history with improved layout.
Create and customize labels directly in the platform with our new Custom Label Builder. Design labels for batches, samples, raw material lots, packaging, and testing using a flexible canvas.
Add and arrange label components, customize the layout and appearance, choose from multiple label sizes, and save your designs as reusable templates for consistent labeling across your workflows.
Personalize tables by choosing and rearranging columns, applying filters and sorting, and saving the setup as a reusable quick view. Create, rename, duplicate, or switch between views to keep the information you use most close at hand.
Formula specifications can now be updated after publication without changing the formula version number. The expanded specification options offer greater flexibility for defining quality requirements and provide the foundation required for generating Certificates of Analysis (COAs) from batches.
Added a new option to import multiple ingredient lots from a CSV or Excel file, making it faster and easier to keep your raw-material inventory up to date.
Generated INCI lists can now be included in Excel formula exports, together with ingredient percentages, CAS numbers, EC numbers, allergen flags, and IFRA warnings. The export lists any of the 86 EU-regulated allergens present in the formula and highlights raw materials with missing compositions, making product documentation and compliance checks easier.
Formulators can continue shopping pre-listed pack sizes or submit sourcing requests when they need a better offer or individual pricing. This makes it easier to source ingredients in bulk and purchase everything directly through the platform.
Suppliers can now view requests submitted by formulators and respond when they have a suitable solution. They can decline a request, suggest an alternative ingredient, or provide details such as pricing and lead times—making the sourcing process simpler and more efficient for everyone.
Equipment logs can now be exported for easier reporting, recordkeeping, and audits.
Export cleaning, inspection, calibration, maintenance, and activity logs with key details such as equipment, location, status, assigned team member, completion date, and notes. This makes it easier to review operational history, share records, and maintain traceability outside the platform.
You can now manage production and laboratory equipment directly within the platform.
Create equipment records, assign locations, maintain activity logs, and schedule recurring cleaning, inspection, calibration, and maintenance tasks. Automated notifications help your team stay on top of upcoming and overdue actions, while the full service history supports better traceability and operational control.
Added a new option to easily give feedback on AI responses, helping us make the chat experience even better for you.
You can now export formulas to Excel (.xlsx) for easier analysis and sharing. The Formula page has been updated with a new Export menu that provides both PDF and Excel download options, along with performance and usability improvements.
Updated Regulatory Assistant adds continuous monitoring for formulas across markets, retailer requirements, certifications, and documentation to surface compliance gaps in real time.
Create smarter formulas faster with advanced formula generation, formula analysis, ingredient evaluations, ingredient comparisons, reformulation tools, regenerations, and deformulation support — all inside the AI chat.
Redesigned raw materials import with preview mode and on-the-fly addition, updates, and removal of records, allowing users to review data before submission and make quick adjustments during the import process.
Allows users to request sourcing for raw materials that are currently unavailable or out of stock. Users can specify required details and indicate whether acceptable alternatives are allowed, enabling faster procurement decisions and improved supply continuity.
All address fields now support autocomplete, reducing manual input errors and improving address consistency and accuracy.
Added the ability to generate and export printable labels for raw material lots. Labels include received date, expiration date, lot number, supplier lot, RM ID and name, supplier, and client—improving traceability and reducing manual labeling.
Our AI Formula Assistant just got smarter. You can now reference formulas and ingredients directly from your library when asking questions or requesting improvements. This makes it easier to analyze existing formulas, get optimization suggestions, and explore ingredient alternatives based on what you already use.
Create formulas through a chat-based experience. Describe what you need, refine the logic step by step, and iterate until it’s just right. When you’re done, save it directly to your formula library for future use.
You can now view dates and times in your local timezone instead of UTC. All timestamps across the platform automatically adjust based on your selected timezone for a more accurate and intuitive experience.
This update standardizes how documents are managed throughout the platform while giving you more control over structure and classification.
Introduced Excel export for a snapshot of current inventory raw materials and packaging items.
We’ve introduced a new layout for permissions and roles within organizations. Permissions are now grouped into clear categories, making it easier to understand and control what users can see and do. You can also create predefined roles and quickly assign them to users for faster, more consistent access management.
You can now fully manage your supplier experience with two powerful updates:
Added the ability to export printable label stickers for batches and samples. Labels include key details such as batch number, lot, date created, formula name, formula version, formula ID, and client, improving traceability and reducing manual labeling work.
